Ask any person locally below the age of 25 what Wilf meant in the context of that sentence coinciding with the way he normally speaks and theyll tell you. People are shooting the messenger because they disagree with the actual statement. I literally just posted what he said. Bexleydave doing his usual brown nosing "" when something's said about me. Whatever dialect you want to interpret Zaha quote from (not losing sight of the fact his mother tongue is French) in my view it was a very diplomatic statement to keep everyone happy.

Roy did as Frank should have done , he started with the same team that everyone thought did well at Burnley (one change that was obvious had to be done) , and let them have a go and watched them. Now he will start to make whatever changes he thinks will improve the team. Roy was definitely pragmatic (in a good way) v saints. I just think there was something radical about de Boer's whole approach (for better or worse) that meant Roy was always going to struggle to continue with it. he came in on Wednesday and was either sitting and watching how we worked, or changing everything. neither was going to dramatically improve our odds of winning that match. there was a chance that de Boer got us a win with a commanding performance like the one up at Burnley. and if that had happened, it would have been appropriate to persist with him through 3 horrible games, after which the decision to sack him would have been all the more apparent and outwardly fair (which is fairly important for subsequent recruitment). it's water under the bridge now, and I take on board the point it wasn't only about the football. but I do think we've had a terrific amount of disparaging spin about de Boer coming out of the club. de Boer himself has largely kept quiet.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

Interesting point that. When the club is looking for a new manager or players absolutely nothing leaks out of the club but when something happens that the media and fans feel shows the club and it's chairman in a poor light it becomes leakier than a colander. Personally I view it exactly the same as when friends separate and divorce as you hear both sides of the story yet they are completely different with neither being the whole truth.

Pointless thread. It doesn't matter what any player may of said, de Boer is gone and he isn't coming back. That's what they said about Dave Bassett
