Unpopular opinion here, but I thought we weren't that bad against Southampton, and I was encouraged by the performance. We had chances, but didn't take them - the game could've easily been 1-1.

I was also encouraged by the fact we were trying to create something. Okay, it didn't come off this time, but how often was it just a sloppy pass a metre or so so far or short? The defence had a lot to be desired, but I do think it wasn't as bad as people are making out.
