Will never feel the animosity towards Pardew that many on here felt. He went 6 months too late but still gave us the closest thing. To consistentcy when he was doing well. His first 12 months are probably the most enjoyable I have experienced in the top flight. Signed some great players for us. The Jedinak treatment is the only thing that really irked me on a personal level.

What I meant was that every pundit or commentator rattles on about giving the change in playing style a chance etc which obviously has some relevance but simply gloss over or don't discuss the fact that we looked an utter shambles at the back a lot of the time.
