For me Punch hasn't really done it for a season & a half, regrettably I do believe it's time for him to step aside, he's contribution slows our game, he doesn't see "that pass or run", or make this happen as a skipper should..... Punch for me is part of the problem.... we now require leader on the pitch who will lead from the front and drag the the team upwards. Come on down Mamo .... another crap Monday beckons listening to all those "plastics" from those "top sides " !

He makes us a worse team by playing, milo and cabaye in the middle, loftus cheek in front, zaha and townesend on the wings. Perfect balance in the middle if he persists in playing punch then his only got himself to blame.

He may as well be playing for the opposition. Not just a waste of space - whenever he gets in possession, we lose all dynamism.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Punch theory' by Guntrisoft I have supported palace for over 40 years and yet have not seen such a one footed professional footballer as punch. I tend not to get too emotional about individuals and I've seen some rubbish over the years. But the managers must see something that we don't see on match day when it comes to punch. My theory is that on the training ground when everybody is at 80 percent he has the time to pick a pass or line up a shot that he looks like he warrents a starting spot. However I think opponents have worked him out, being so left footed he is so one dimensional they realised if you keep him on his right he is ineffectual and slows our attacks down.

It really is as simple as this: Get shot of Puncheon, start winning football matches. How t.f can we leave a Serbian international with a great record on the bench and put Punch ahead of him? It is just bonkers. The long list of managers that have persisted with him may have defied argument from us mere mortals but now, NOW there can be no more.
