Jason Lokilo was born in 1998 and played in the Asia trip, pretty good as I recall. He took most of the free kicks and corners. I'm not sure he could play on his own as a no 9 though.

Lapado seems the most obvious and a Vardy type, its try him or sell him time as he is over 21. Lokilo has the skills.

Baptiste (b 1999) promises much but probably a season away from a chance.

Don't think he'd be able to play up top by himself. He seems to be more of a forward/winger rather than a striker, in my opinion.

Regarding Lokilo, he is 17 and absolutely tiny. Also he is categorically not a striker ready for the PL. he has looked okay as a winger, but would get flattened playing up top.

Andre Coker is a winger as well, he has played a couple of times for the youth teams as a striker but is still naturally a predominant winger.

Kaikai was given a run out up front against Ipswich and he had one or two chances. Both of them came from him cutting in from the outside and were shots from pretty far away. He is a winger with a mean shot, but like the other two, when played centrally he doesn't have the ability to test defenders and loses his assets of pace and skill from out wide. He looked largely ineffective up there.

Zaha is probably the only winger that could play up front for us because he is pretty strong on the ball. He reads defenders well and makes decent runs sometimes. It's still not his best position because he needs someone up there with him to do the dirty work. I have seen him jump for about three headers in his career. It wouldn't surprise me if we played him up there with Ladapo if the worst happens. Maybe as a second striker or a single inside forward with Andros our wider dragging the Defense wide giving them a bit more space up top.

Blimey that's interesting. We need to take the risk of playing him, lets hope he doesn't let us down.

The Ladapo game was a local derby & that may have had a bearing on his performance. He was by far the best player in a Margate shirt & caused all sorts of problems - ended up being man marked by two players to keep him quiet.

Great. 2 on Lapado. 2 on Wilf. Leaves Mutch free to Waltz through to score, right?

Great idea but we ain't Chelsea. Has a big chance to prove his up to against Huddersfield in the cup.

I could be wrong but if Benteke gets injured Zaha would be striker and Schlupp or Lokilo play in Zaha position.

Possibly, but I also think Schlupp has played CF on & off in his career so may be considered.

Despite all this talk of doom if Benteke is injured, and he's not,it really isnot avital position in the team. You cannot manage without an experienced goalkeeper or central defenders, but strikers can be produced on the day, surely we remember a right fullback pressed into service scoring a hatrick, that story is really not that special,Paul Warhurst at Sheff Wed is the obvious example. The manager just has to make the choices from the team he has,it's not supposed to be easy

Sorry? A striker isn't a pivotal position in the team? What are you on about? We have cover in every position on the pitch except up top. Benteke scored 17 goals last season for us, name another player in the squad that could get half of that number!
