Transfer window has been a joke with no GK and one CF in the team and the start to this season has been painfully embarrassing & rightly people seem to be venting their frustrations on here. That has passed however and I am feeling surprisingly calm today, starting to hope and dream of what could still be...

Franks job, rightly so, seems to be hanging in the balance at the moment with SP himself stating that this is because football is a "results business". That being so there is a chance these 'serious talks' that are apparently taking place may lead to FdB intently addressing the situation and coming up with an actual and effective plan to get these results which is not impossible, most of us having a dig on here are so because we know we have a squad, although somewhat threadbare, capable of doing so.

If things do improve and we see a different Palace to one that has started the season all will soon be forgiven and should we get ourselves into a competitive mid table position, producing inspiring performances, with a January transfer window to strengthen (I know, but this is hypothetical) IMO it will be one of the greatest times ever to be a Palace fan! I would argue that in order to start playing 'attractive football' we would first need to cement ourselves as a premier league team, something I believe we have not done. But look at West Brom, we can only dream of their current success but I guarantee even if they have 7/8/9/10th placed finishes the next 3 seasons at some point they will want more and will call time on Tony Pulis, they will want an FdB! We already have an FdB and should he start to get results which cement a mid table finish, we then have a young manager who can build the club upwards and on from attractive football to youth players.

This is all hypothetical of course but not impossible and anyway, if it doesn't happen he'll be out and this seasons saviour will have far more time than others did!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Reading this post had me slipping unto an almost dream state imagining this possible golden future.
Then I read the last para and I crashed back to reality with a thump!'Remember this is Palace' flashing across my mind.
