I dont get the hype with this guy, ok as a third choice squad player he might bring something but his value will have gone up now and surely right now we need some one to compete with Benteke for too spot. This guy gets an A* for effort but really I don't think he's that good. if this is the striker we sign and no other than Beneteke starts every match unless Sako does. Niasse would be third choice only. Or you can use the two of them together, another option we don't currently have except with Sako or Wilf, who are really wingers.

I know its all about opinion but I quite like him. Was impressed with him at Selhurst. If this was who we brought in I would be content with him. In the situation we are in now, striker wise he would be a big help. Seems a Palace type to me.

I agree that would represent good business for us. I think your right, you would hope money wise these two would be within budget.

I think we could get both for around £12 million. Everton paid £13m I think for Niasse alone and I have read they want most of that money back so getting both for that sort of money is highly unlikely. I would guess both will command £10m then we are looking at £8m to £16m for a defender/defensive midfielder depending on who we go for and another £6m for a keeper. Could be an expensive window of £40m + and it still doesn't address the ageing central midfield and permanent right back competition for Ward which will need to be looked at in the summer.

I had to laugh at the article on the African Football website. The headline was "Palace managers comment on Oumar Niasse" and his actual comment was "I am not prepared to talk about names"
