The Times running with an article tomorrow saying that FDB could be sacked this week!

Tomorrow is now today.

A lot of things could happen next week. Saying 'could' covers themselves.

He threatened to walk away if he wasn't provided with a suitable clutch of players in the transfer window and today he got Sakho (and de Boer is apparently the only person in SE25 who doesn't like Sakho) and a total failure to sign anyone else. So he may not require to be sacked.

I don't necessarily think it's that he doesn't like Sakho, I think he probably wasn't too keen on the idea of blowing the majority of the budget on him and then scraping the barrel in desperation to make up the numbers. It's exactly how it's panned out and unfortunately we came up short even with that plan. Shambles really

The only other 2 things I can guess at is that Frank didn't offer up any alternatives or he's already on his way out and Steve was waiting to announce it...

I haven't read anything about him threatening to walk away just like I haven't read anything about him not liking Sakho.

Benitez is the manager who is publicly unhappy with the lack of transfer activity and I wonder if he walks away from Newcastle whether or not we would snap him up

I haven't read anything from FdB on his current relationship with the club or the transfer window. He seems to be maintaining a dignified silence.

If Benitez is unhappy with the lack of transfer activity, we are the last place he should consider

Now you're talking ... we can only pray that the Double Dutchman walks and we could lure Benitez to Selhurst.
