Personally I think early cup games should bd included in your season tickets. £15 to watch a game against an Ipswich reserve side? I did go, and it went exactly as I thought it would..struggle first half, make a couple of subs second half, score a couple and then let one in at the end.....should have had a bet on it.

Where are all the fans on CUP games like tonight? I know some people can’t afford or make it because of work- but come on that can’t be everyone..

So many posts on here for tickets to popular games or moaning about loyalty points. All start with “I’ve been a palace fan for 25 years but have no loyalty points”

Desperate for a ticket against Brighton but won’t go to game against Ipswich at home!!

If we get to the final or semi-final suddenly everyone has time off work or cash on the hip.

Tonight was a positive game for the players and the fans should have been there…..

Wonder if all the people posting about parish, frank or moaning about the new system actually went to the game tonight to show their support?

I have no idea why people are more interested in watching us play arch rivals Brighton than Ipswich U19s on a wet Tuesday evening

Barcelona's season ticket holders have all games included even champions league games! Or at least they used to when I was there until 04 my pals had season tickets.

Ippo game Even if were free I wouldn't have gone, I have to take a night off holiday leave for midweek games so save those for the league,Brighton etc

Maybe because it's a micky mouse cup which means nothing. It's basically an U23s match and you don't slag people off for not going to those games.

We didn't play our first team and nor did they, what's the point on coming out on a Tuesday evening to watch a game that I genuinely couldn't care less about.

The FA have to take responsibility for the way people view the league cup and how far it has fallen.

I love an I'm a better fan than you are because I went to a poxy league cup match on a Tuesday night. I was at home not doing much but I did start a new book which I am quite into. I can't even use the excuse I had to get up at 4am, like I normally do, as I work from home on Wednesdays.

I can only apologise to yourself, the players and the management team for not going

Ignoring some of the negativity, had a great time last night and the atmosphere was great considering the turn out. I got to sit in seats I can't usually get for league games and I had a few fans around me that I reckon were in a similar position. I got the impression some of them probably don't get to go very often at all. Loved it, was nice mixing with them and enjoying the experience with them. The lady sat next to me swearing at the players in a strong accent (possibly a Nigerian accent, I'm not good at working accents out) every time the ball went backwards was really endearing and kept me smiling for most the game. And the guy that called Martin Kelly a dumpling every time he did anything. Not being sarcastic, I think it was one of my favourite Palace experiences for a long long time. I love the League Cup, I don't have my (perfect) buttocks clenched for the whole 90 minutes.

nor do I as ive been supporting palace since 90 and never once understood the brighton rivalry.

millwall, Charlton, man u, yeah, brigthon? zzz that's something that materialized in the 80s as far as I know so would only really be understood by 50 year olds, now their sons hate em and likely don't understand why lol

Read the history on it..many on here, were around at that time (including me) hairy days but we were young then,it was exciting, coming back with battle scars.
(couldnt do it now and wouldnt want to )

For our age group they will always be the scum..hey ive only been going to SP since the early 60s..theres a lot more older old farts on here than me,I would think they would say the same.

Talksport reckoned only around 9000 there yesterday (seemed more). And yet still queued for as long as usual for a pint.

In the early 60's when I first started going to Palace it was only Millwall. We never used to play Charlton as I recall. I do remember going down to Brighton in the late sixties and our fans being on the terrace with police dogs on the perimeter. But I would still consider Millwall to be our main rivals but now because of being at the Valley the day we got relegated I hate them more than Millwall. In fact I have only ever met one Brighton fan so am not really bothered about them to be honest.
