You are better off going down to Eastbourne and watching the 'Airbourne' display from the downs overlooking the sea. Best display around these days and it is FREE! Great day out!!

Went to Kings Arms in Leaves Green. Was incredible listening to the Typhoon plane, shook my hole body and flew for about 20 min's then came back again later. Pub charged a fiver for parking but was worth every penny. Recommended to anyone who fancies it next year.Fantastic day out. Pub also had an outdoor bbq and plenty of outdoor seating. As close as I could get without paying to get in. Edited by sotac464 (20 Aug 2017 6.36pm)

I completely understand the farm not being allowed to do it now. 30 odd years and not a single incident is clearly dangerous! Out of interest, what about any houses below the various flight Paths? Are the occupants told to wear hard hats just in case. Like this you mean? [Link]

What a load of bollocks. We went the year shoreham happened and watched. What they mean is they don't want people watching without paying vast sums to go into the airport itself. w***ers Ooh Michaela; I never had you down as a potty mouth! I last went to the Air Show circa late-1980s. There was an ex-military commentator who was a bit 'posh'. During a display by a Messerschmitt Me109, he said "what a lovely aircraft. The last time I saw one in flight, I was standing on a bridge at Remagen and it was machine-gunning me and my corps!" Classic!

I saw it yonks ago by the band stand. It's a great venue seeing as there's no blocking about 180 degrees of your view. The Biggin Hill show has the red arrows fly all the way over Selsdon and probably further over gravel hill and you can't see that far from Biggin hill.

The World War I planes that flew over Kenley were a novelty. Slow, flying low, and very very loud.

Are the occupants told to wear hard hats just in case. They should've told them it was a car boot sale and then there would be no restrictions applicable. I'd say the risk isn't the number and location of people on the ground, it's the people flying 70-80 year old planes above them.
