What does PVA do?

Anyone know what PVA is doing in the team? Apart from his (admittedly important) goal vs Boro, what does he do?
He is just a poser - never back far enough to defend and never up enough to attack. He hung Riedewald out to dry against Huddersfield, never helped him at all.

It can be used to 'hold back a porous wall' so that plaster can be applied and the plasterer has time to get the wall smooth.
Can also be used as a 'low adhesive glue'.

PVA is a player better going forward than defending.
He is more suited to left-wing back than left-back.
Maybe just needs to get used to the new system.
He can however score from free kicks over a wall.

I can't believe I am reading this! He is super quick when marking winger, links well with Wilf and often makes space on the wing. May I ask who you suggest plays in this position instead of PVA? Possibly Schlupp but 2 managers have now preferred PVA

Great comments. For me Jeffrey Schlupp is a much better player all round. He was outstanding in the 4-0 v Hull.
I hope PVA will get stuck in prove me wrong!

Schlupp a better player? They are equally quick I should assume, other than that PVA is an upgrade to Schlupp in any other department. Shame he gets injured only by looking at him...

I like PVA, also like Schlupp.

Schlupp just doesn't really strike me as a LB. LWB is probably the perfect position for him.

Was it against Hull when he when the penalty with that run into the box? Looked v/dangerous that game.
