Abel Hernández ( suggestion-striker option)

Has prem league experience, a different option from Benteke. Has a 1 in 3 record for Uruguay. He main attributes are running in behind the defence. In the prem granted he hasn't been clinical but we have to realistic, who could be Benteke reserve. Only problem I see is he's a bit injury prone. Could he solve our injury crisis. Wouldn't be more than 12m imo. Another Damien Diagonal - Total Football

Yeah good shout, decent back up player. There's such a shortage of strikers at the mo. Surely there's someone in the French or Dutch league that could be a bargain?

Fair point, personally would like 2 - maybe 1 with experience of the league, the other a bargain from abroad.

Luuk de Jong (see thread) has been rumoured but de Boer distanced himself from it at the press conference this week. Strikers cost loadsa money, and we still need a gk and a RWB. Wickham will be out until xmas, so a rabbit needs to be produced from a hat somehow!

With remy gone, wickham does need company. Let's be honest though, we not gonna pay more than 12 to 15m on back up. I think de Boer mention about that different option.
