A well respected singer and musician in musical circles.

Rhinestone Cowboy was the hit he will be remembered for by most people.

How Alzheimers cruelly robs the great and the good of their creativity and artistry. Great performer. 'Meet Glen Campbell' (@00 was a terrific crossover album that aimed to appeal to more mainstream tastes and it prove to be a cracking listen.

A prolific songwriter and recording artist whose music meant so much to so many during his 60 year career, some perhaps without even realising it.

When reading the news about his passing online, I learned that aside from having his own hits like Galveston and By the Time I Get to Phoenix, Glen Campbell's guitar playing can also be heard on Good Vibrations and Help Me, Rhonda by the Beach Boys, Strangers in the Night by Frank Sinatra and Viva Las Vegas by Elvis Presley among many others.

A very sad day for his generations of fans and all who knew him.

Campbell was great....and he was a songwriter but his biggest hits were written by others...Jimmy Webb wrote Galveston, Wichita Lineman, By the Time I Get to Phoenix and Larry Weiss wrote Rhinestone Cowboy....another great song, Gentle on my Mind was written by John Hartford.
