suspect they'll get an extraordinary sponsorship from the middle east. completely unrelated to their owners tho. completely.

The £198million is written off from an accounting and FFP perspective over the duration of the contract, if it's 5 years it's 'only' £40 million per year plus £40 million in wages. I'd imagine in merchandising alone, they could cover the £80m a year. Take Pogba, there was a report that said he sold £190m worth of shirts in first 3 weeks.

they did the samething few years ago and got of lightly. ffp is a joke it suits big clubs not little ones Barca said they want the 190mil upfront straight away i do not see how you can get away with putting on the books it stread out like that if you did that in a normal bussiness you would be done for fraud

Maybe why that is the promoted clubs get the parachute payments. Just to say on this...if Deloitte are right and we were at 81m wages in 15/16, then benteke (5m) and Luka, PvA, Remy, Schlupp, Tomkins, Townsend (say 2m each) and Sakho on 2.5m would have lifted us by an insane 19.5m to ~100m. plus I think your revenue figures look a little toppy. point is, even if I'm a bit low on revenue and high in wages, our scope to significantly add to the wage bill is surely restricted? This talk of paying the fine...i guess I wonder if the Americans will fancy it Edited by Ginger Pubic Wig (03 Aug 2017 6.59pm)

Most clubs receive a fee from the shirt manufacturer and then only a small percentage of each shirt sale with the bulk going to the shirt manufacturer
