This has got to be one of the most ridiculous comparisons ever. Soares was/is a fair journeyman player whereas Loftus Cheek is already in contention for the national team. His performance yesterday (only a friendly I admit) was very impressive. LC is one of the strongest physically I can remember at Palace which, combined with his obvious ability, makes me think he is going to be a great addition this season.

Agree with this.

A lot of Chelsea fans including my mate a massive Chelsea fan didn't want Loftus Cheek to go out on loan and was hoping he'd get his chance with their first team this season.

Loftus-Cheek made a number of good runs through the middle yesterday, including one that set up Benteke for an easy chance, so looking good for the future. Can't say the same for Puncheon though who was woeful and gave the ball away in midfield a few times.

Let's keep the ball this season!
