I said when he left that as long as he's not working in the prem until at least November or December I'm okay with that. He can return sooner to us if Frank makes a mess of it.

BFS is all me me me . Two months ago he was worn out and could not stomach anymore football and walked out on us wanting to spend his time with his family. Only just a few weeks later he is bored with his family and wants to come back into football. When will everyone realise all he is interested in is milking money from unsuspecting clubs. You might argue he kept us up, well he was in charge when we avoided relegation but was it him or the players that were determined not to be associated with relegation? I think it was a bit more complicated than that, wasn't a friend of his killed in the Manchester bombings - which would cause anyone maybe to re-evaluate their life. Clearly he's earned enough to retire and something like that might well cause someone to retire and then over time think about getting back into the game when they're missing it.

Edited by Willo (28 Jul 2017 12.09pm) Now I know who you are... You're Simon Jordan - this is what he had to say yesterday: Jordan said: "The big tragedy for Sunderland, and you look at them in the January transfer window, they are selling players to Crystal Palace who were in the same position as Sunderland, and you wonder why that was. "It can't be easy for Sunderland supporters and managers. I'm an ex-owner and I don't want to throw brickbats at owners because I was one but they've got no leadership and if your club isn't right at the top it won't be right down the pyramid. "That means you ultimately make wrong managerial appointments, managers are left slightly adrift from what the club wants to do. "I wouldn't be Ellis Short because I'd be more committed to my football club than he is. But I'd be saying to my manager you've got to mange the situation, you've got to deal with this properly and I expect you to come out on Friday evening and give Derby a proper game."

At the end of the day you didn't hear the Sunderland fans complaining about joining us and keeping us up and help send them down. He did what he needed to do for us. Thanks Big Sam! Edited by Brentmiester_General (01 Aug 2017 9.58pm)

didn't he say at The time that he wasn't up for another relegation fight? or am I just imagining it? i but then at christmas they'll be relegation threatened clubs sounding him out, he'll probably be tempted.

What you want and what you get offered are 2 different things. He says he's been offered jobs already. Probably the ones Pardew thought he would be and wasn't. In November 1-5 Prem clubs will be phoning Allardyce. I have no problem with that. 6 months on, 6 months off. Fair play. I'd have had issues if he had a new prem job now, which he hasn't, so all cool.
