What? So, you accidentally eat fruit and veg do you?Presumably you avoid using anti-bacterial soap? Or all types of soap? What about that weapon of mass destruction penicillin?

Why would any vegan deliberately try to avoid eating fruit and veg? I avoid using soap tested on animals or including any... you're right there... yoou sound more militant and angry than the average vegan.

I'm not militant or angry, more amused. You can eat what you like, so can I. I was merely questioning where you draw the line at killing things, fruit and veg are living organisms, as are bacteria, as are mosquitoes that kill so many humans.

I'll continue eating fruit and veg... mosquito bites are not a problem in england. If I lived in a country where they were I'd use a mosquito net or whatever the people use to protect themselves from being killed. I'd still be a vegan though and stick to my principles.

The mosquito is the most dangerous animal in the world, carrying diseases that kill one million people a year. Now the Zika virus, which is carried by mosquitoes, has been linked with thousands of babies born with brain defects in South America.
"Half of the global population is at risk of a mosquito-borne disease," says Frances Hawkes from the Natural Resources Institute at the University of Greenwich. "They have had an untold impact on human misery."

Yet you would not kill them - just so you can feel virtuous.

I gave the definition of veganism as not causing harm to animals where it is as practiceable as possible. If any animal is killing humans by the millions it would make sense to vegans too to stop them from doing so and if that means killing them then unfortunately that must be done.
