Given the scare about Wilf's injury, we urgently need to get another creative forward before the window closes.
Imagine a month or 2 without Wilf. Andros is ok but he doesn't frighten defenders like Wilf.
Lucas Perez would be ideal. He can play as a lone striker, support striker or wide. He's left footed, lightning quick and turns defenders inside out. Would fit into 3-4-3, 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1. A forward line of Zaha, Benteke & Lucas would give most defences a thorough testing. And if, God forbid, Wilf suffered an injury due to the lack of protection he gets from referees, then we'd have another weapon in our armoury.
The rumoured asking price seems to have risen to £20m according to some reports, but I suspect Wenger would accept £17m which what I think Arsenal paid for him. Deportivo want him back but can't afford that much. Ashley doesn't seem to have the funds for Rafa. Please don't let Brighton steal him from us!

I understood he wants to go back to playing in Europe according to the media so unlikely to want to do a deal with us even if we are interested. Hope I am wrong think he could be ok for us.

Arsenal signed him a couple of years ago f or £17m or so which was a considerable sum then. Wenger has treated him like s*** offering him only bit parts even though he's done well when selected. The guy has put up with it longer than most star players would. Now he's had enough and wants to return home to former team, Deportivo, where he was idolised. But Deportivo can't afford £17m so we have an opportunity to buy him, make him feel welcome again in London and guarantee him a place in the starting line up. Also an opportunity for him to make a statement to Wenger.
Why has Wenger treated him so badly? His performance & attitude clearly don't deserve it Gooners suggest on YouTube that Wenger wasn't personally involved in his purchase and has reacted petulantly by ignoring the player to make a point to the Arsenal board.
