Degrees of Britishness. Interesting. Mo Farah? The England 'one-day' cricket captain? Half of the England Rugby Union team? Where does it end? Yeah I know. Still, I think this is the system we have to have. A person should be able to change their nationality if they invest enough effort and commitment to it. Each individual case deserves its own consideration....Allan Lamb for example really invested...I think Morgan is also pretty blameless...As in he'd always stated his aim was to play for England....Farah has been here since he was a kid...sounds and acts British....If British were just about coming from these islands then most of us aren't British as we have large inputs of French, Italian and Scandinavian in us. It's the mercenary element that we should never have allowed.....The 'Budd' example was ultimately an embarrassment and should have been learnt from. Still, while society regards success as more important than any other consideration then 'leaders' within organisations will continue to push for anything that will make them look good.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |
