Love to see him at Palace. Great prospect and would be worth double in a couple of years time. Sakho was great last season, because we played in a way where he was never really exposed. I think under FdB we will be a bit more open. We've offered £22m and I think the deal would be done for £25m, plus any add ons. Just get it done.

I honestly would be highly surprised if he wants to come to us. If he does he will want us to be his stepping stone so in that case I would imagine he would insist on a limited transfer fee which makes paying huge money for him a risk as profits will be limited. He is cut out very well for English football, really strong defensively but far less so in possession. Mourinho targeted him to have the ball in the EL final which showed in the beginning as he has definitely less ability to play "controlling football" compared to the youngster de Ligt next to him.

Looks like this has gone out the window. Ajax have put £35 mill on his head.

Just what I read here in the Dutch press. Also Juventus apparently is interested but that could be "hogwash" as he is from outside the EU and they are limited by Italian rules to only a couple of foreign players from outside the EU I believe. Originally posted by pieman203
