I once saw them perform at the Fairfield Halls (Croydon) in early 1969. On the support bill was David Bowie - not singing but as a mime artist!

Wow!

I never saw it, but Bowie drew much acclaim for performing as John Merrick drawing largely on his mime ability.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

What about this one, from The Jungle Book, adopted from the song by Ballou the Bear.

"It's just De Boer necessities,
Those Dutch footballing recipes,
Forget about your trouble and your strife..."

Although the lyrics quote the bird is the word throughout, in the original by the Trashmen it occasionally sounds to me like the bird is a winner. Good omen perhaps ... Or maybe just wishful thinking.

For a long time, Neil Diamond refused to say who was the Caroline in his famous song. A few years back, he explained that it was Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of John F. and Jackie Kennedy.

Where it began, I can't begin to knowing
But then I know it's growing strong
Was in the spring
And spring became the summer
Who'd have believed you'd come along

Hands, touching hands
Reaching out, touching me, touching you

The song was released in 1969. Caroline Kennedy was born in 1957. Do the maths...

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

What are you suggesting? Sweet Frank de Boer?! A tad too touchy feely for the HF I suspect!
