If FdB is confirmed and with our ties with Sakho, do you think Parish has had brought up the conversation in the interviews around whether to sign him? The next obvious question is do you think that FdB will take the opportunity. I know £30m has been touted around, but even at that price I think he's worth it. Yes, it's a lot of money, but he's still young and oddly we have the rare fact that we know he would fit into the team, settle quickly (as he already has really) and would massively improve our team, not just as a defender, but as a leader and off the pitch. What do you think? Sakho has proved himself at our club but at the end of the day it all comes down to finances and whether Sakho is receptive to a permanent move. Also depends on Liverpool and their transfer plans. Assuming we retain our key players, the new manager might feel that the money could be spread around more effectively, looking at the 'Bigger picture'. Edited by Willo (26 Jun 2017 8.57am)

What do you think? I doubt he mentioned Sakho, as we aren't going to buy him, he will go in a swap deal for Van Dijk.

Becuase our soon to be manager has a track record of bringing through talent from academy to first team. I'd say that is a big draw for a player when deciding which academy to go to. Shall I go to United where there manager hardly ever brings players through. Or shall I go palace where FdB has a track record of bringing players in to the first team.
This statement is laughable. Wilf may not have gotten anywhere, but Utd have bought though players regularly because their academy is set up correctly. Ajax for the same reason. If we have the right set up then we will produce players of the right quality we are not there yet.
So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |

Wonder if he'll tap them up for academy players on the verge of breaking through that I'm sure he'd know about. Or possibly get some loan deals sorted. Various possibilities I really feel FDB is going to be a very attractive On loan to CPFC prospect for any youngster warmiing benches in the Prem or Europe.

Agreed! I mean, just look Defoe and Ibrahimovic's performances last season (and Defoe's the season preceding that)... Oh, hang on...
