A rather bizarre line-up. An 'All-Time XI' but actually fielding 9.

What's the point?

It's not as if we have no English centre-halves, in fact there are two at the club now in Dann and Tomkins or if they are not good enough how about Andy Thorn.

I think fielding two of those three is better than sending out nine.

Don't know why you were struggling in centre midfield 'cos those two you picked were England's partnership under Graham Taylor.

I left a couple of players out to get the thread going / aid discussion! Just a fun thread to detract from all the manager threads

Gerry Francis in midfield has to be in. He was England captain for a time!

Martyn

Sansom
Southgate
Fenwick
Clyne

Taylor
Thomas
Francis
Salako

Wright
Byrne

Subs: Gray,Ruddock, Johnson, Cole

Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

Surely it has to be:

GK - Nigel Martyn
RB - John Pemberton
LB - Richard Shaw
CM - Andy Gray
CB - Gary O'Reilly
CB - Andy Thorn
RM - Phil Barber
CM - Geoff Thomas (c)
CF - Mark Bright
LM - John Salako
CM - Alan Pardew

Maybe substituting Andy Gray for David Madden and Phil Barber for Ian Wright

Somebody got out of bed the wrong side this morning?

In dog beers I’ve only had one.

The Ninja played for Wales and was born in Singapore, a man of mystery, no one has seen him in years

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

No mention of Gardener or Campbell yet

How many minutes did Ray Wilkins manage to play for us?

We've had more players play for Wales than any other nation. Who'd win between a Palace England 11 vs a Palace Wales 11?
