This is one of the rumours, I hope true, great young talent, with bags of potential and a certain upgrade of fringe players like lee and sako.

Andy Johnson Magic, He wears a Magic Hat
When he Sees the match ball, he says he having that
He scores one with left foot, he scores one with his right
And When his playing Brighton, He scores all f***ING Night!

With all of the rumours swirling around about keeping our spending down would we really spend £8m on a winger unless we intended to sell Townsend

Why not. Football a squad game. If lee or sako leaves. It only leaves 2 wide players. I think you taking it to literally. There's money to spend but not the same as last season like 30m on Benteke. Also a move for Murphy would hardly break the wage structure.

Surely a winger is well down on the priority list as we have Zaha and Townsend with Kaikai in reserve so that department is well looked after.

If Murphy came to us it would only be to warm the bench whereas with some of the other clubs allegedly after him there would be a possibility of first team football for him

This kid is class, my Norwich supporting mate raves about him, so it would be great to wind him up if we sign him!

Not sure if kai kai is anywhere near good enough and if any of the main two get suspended or injured I think we'll struggle. We are a side that depends on top wingers. We lose one... We'd need a very decent stand in. This is one of the strongest leagues in the world. Let's hope kai kai does prove my doubts wrong mind

I've wanted us to have a third wing option for a while and think it would help everyone.

Taking pressure off the other two to perform for 90mins every week and pick up no injuries for the whole campaign.

As our wing play is so important to us. Having decent cover is vital.

Personally think it'd be a great move, he'll be able to learn from two great wingers and a great coach. He'd get playing time and a place on the bench every week.

Great upgrade on what we have.

Sell Sako for a few million and the deal becomes cheaper.

Profile of the player being young and talented will be what Frank wants.

Think this could grow legs...

Been watching him play for England U21s in the Euro Championships.Came on for Holgate at right-back against Slovakia which was a bit of a surprise.

He has a twin brother called Josh who is also at Norwich.Commentator said it has been known for them to get up come down and they are both wearing the same clothes !

You're right.
Jacob is the right footer, Josh is the left footed player.
Jacob has cemented a place as a starter for Norwich and is very highly considered (I doubt they'd let him go).
Josh has also done only good things while n the pitch, but somehow the manager never favoured him. I've always found him amazing though. He'd come cheap (errr, cheapER). A solid competition for any left footed in the Premier League, Townsend included

My feeling is they are both right-footed but I am willing to be corrected.

In fact my impression of Josh is that he is very right-footed and when playing out on the left cuts on to his right-foot but I could be thinking of Jacob !

Oh...I think you're right. But Josh is very good with his left too

Perhaps he still on the Palace radar? Sounds like he can play on the left side of midfiield as well as wing.
