This is pretty awful (1997). Was there ever worse?

I actually really liked that shirt. If it wasn't a 90's baggy fit I think it would look better.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

At that time, I couldn't have cared less. Lombardo could have played in a French maid's kit for all I cared...

But the black sash would have been the closest we had.

You're kidding - that's my lucky weetabix kit. Comes out whenever we really need a result

Correct answer. It's what it symbolises, but it's soured me to these colours. I don't even trust wasps any more.

I don't want to state the obvious, but if you'd worn this every week would we have won the league?

I am actually a bit annoyed with you for not wearing your lucky kit several times last season. So is Alan Pardew.

We still have yellow and black in our palette - just look at last year's and the year before's away kits - but we'd never (to my recollection) ever put them together like that until the hastily released replay strip.

Of course, had we played like the Saturday before, we'd probably have a very different feeling about it.

I remember going to Coventry ,at the time our home kit was claret shirts with thin light blue stripes white shorts and claret and blue socks. We ran out wearing tangerine shirts with thin light blue stripes, white shorts (pretty bad so far) and we had our normal claret and blue socks.
