well the figures have gone down in the usa for our matches, all prem, and its now our bread n butter, hell, not sure where palace would be without all this cash, back in the champ, so I say, whether you want it or not, ideas like this are required if we want the premiership bubble not to burst just yet. let us build our stadium then they can do as they like. til then, id be game for palace playing at 10pm if it keeps the yanks interested and the money coming in ...

Early and late, Sunday and weekday kick offs should only be a product of necessity. The perfect match, is where you can roll up to the game, after lunch, a few beers before kick off, take your seat for the game, then out at 5pm to the pub for a evening of refreshment, possibly home on a quite night in time for a few home beers and some match of the day. Its just not the same with 12.30 or 5.30 kick offs, and Sundays just suck if you have to work in the Monday. Football is 3pm on a Saturday. Perfect timing (unless you work Saturdays).

And as it says in the article, many fans would have problems getting home after a late game

With the hike in costs for broadcast rights the broadcasters need to recoup their money from somewhere, and given that they are the real power brokers in the modern game what they want they usually get. It's not right but thank the w@anker David Dein and his greedy co-conspirators for that.

Saturday at 19:45 equals 14:45 to 11:45 across the continental USA. It will cause problems for NBC as those times are taken up with other coverage (college football, auto racing and Olympic sports). ThePremier League and its domestic TV partners should be discussing this with their overseas partners, some of whom like NBC pride themselves on the ability to broadcast every league match.

Not being funny. For home games that would be superb. If it was restricted to local-ish derbies they'd be great.
