El tel the best manager we've ever had? Go to the back of the class. Dear oh dear. You've decided we wasted £25 mil on 2 players who've only been available for 3 months. Okay. 2 players who contributed to keeping us up and have addressed the left hand side and can play in any formation? Okay again. 2 players who had to be signed. I suppose you've forgotten 1 or the other was injured so what would we have done with just one? Oh and what happened when Souare got injured and that arrogant fool thought he'd wing it? And don't use the car crash excuse. Could've been a football injury keeping him out for months to a year. And while we're here, Parish played a blinding error with Pardew over about 7 months contributing in needing Schlupp and PVA. Parish is the best chairman we could've dreamed of but don't try and point the finger at Sam for correcting the monumental mess and c0ck up that preceded him. It was nothing to do with 'appeasing Big Fat Cash Sam' or any other puerile abbreviated nickname and everything to do with surviving after making it unnecessarily difficult. Oh and if you hadn't noticed we're loaning in players rather than buying them. Players who will again cost serious money if we need them or comparable quality long term. So before jumping the gun thinking Sam is a profligate Harry Redknapp type and Frank a prudent miracle worker, I'd remember some of these are costing us loan fees with managers taking a chance on Frank's coaching and player development skills. They are still not our's. And I suppose £20 mil for Calum Chambers is cheap but about £12 mil for Schlupp or PVA we were conned. calm down dearest, dont lose your hedman (get it? haha) if you actually read my post i said el tel was best manager ever appointed, not our best manager, jeez. and im sorry but im entitled to my opinion, leicester were pissing themselves laughing to the bank at circa £14m for their backup full back who played backup dancer to fuchs. and im pretty sure when pape souare gets fit weve got in excess of £25m worth of full backs on the bench! £20m for chambers isnt cheap at all, but i would certainly argue it would be better value for the club in the long term than the deals for PVA and schlupp, as you know right now were gettinn nowhere near what we paid when/if they leave us!

Focus your disappointment towards Pardew and Parish for this. If we didn't sign 2 we would've been relegated. Pretty certain of that. Unless you think moving Kelly to left back again was wise. Nearly destroyed player and us that shambles. Nothing to do with 'appeasing' Big Fat Cash Sam (god how childish) and everything to do with crisis management. Again, if we didn't sign them and survive we would be playing Bolton and struggling to assemble a team after losing about 8 of our best players. So those 2 made the present possible. Sometimes the short term has priority over long term.

Hasn't Pardew pretty much owned up for not getting a reserve left back? Gotta say I dont think Parish wouldn't have supported him. That said - Parish should have fired him at the end of last season. Anyway this thread is a nonsense. Talking of which - anyone consider what a joy it would be having Tony Adams in charge?

This should be moved to fun talk. With the exciting new signings how can you seriously want Parish out.
