It was pathetic and for the FA to do nothing about it shows how they pander to the big clubs.

Fat substitute goalkeeper for non league club eats a pie for a joke, gets sack.
John Terry organises the game to be stopped for two minutes and its ok.

The ref should have given Terry a yellow for taking too long to get off the pitch then another yellow when he still didn't get off the pitch having been warned.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Fat keeper was sacked because Sunbets had it as one of their fun bets at 7/1 which he knew full well.

I'd be fuming if we did what Sunderland did.

Fine before or after, as per Gerard but you don't put a game on hold halfway through the first half. They took the piss.

In fairness I suspect Gerard would have liked that to have occurred on his last home game for Liverpool....

Delaying games for glory, shagging team mates birds, racist abuse or full kit wa*nker. There is little that John Terry hasn't done to upset people.

Stopping a match for Pre-planned "Choreography" ?
By all means form a 'Guard of honour' before the game and a player can wave to the crowd etc etc and receive applause in return but NOT in the middle of a game for goodness sake.
Didn't a pundit say "This isn't Hollywood" ?

I know. Absolute travesty this wasn't done for Marks last game.

Totally agree.

I just checked online for a list of bookable offences. I found seven listed, one being unsporting behaviour and another delaying the restart of the game. He could arguably been booked for one or both of those!

It would've been hilarious if he had to be sent off on 25 minutes for some reason. Or received a minor injury on 25 minutes, brought off the pitch for treatment, then had to come back on again in the 27th minute. But the dream finish wasn't to be.

It's alarming to see how many numpties on Facebook posts think there was nothing wrong with what happened. To me they encapsulate all that is wrong with the Prem and modern football since Sky invented it in 1992.

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!
