He might have been persuaded to stay on different terms and it might be that the job isn't the one he'd like. But if he felt that strongly about staying on his terms it would still be going on now.

I think he was possibly concerned at the fact that we only ever seemed to turn up in the really big games and the performances against City, Burnley and United clearly showed that there were still deep underlying issues in the team, mainly mentally. We really need to go for it in the summer if we want any stability and I think this is where the problem lies between Parish/Sam. We're the Arthur over ere!

Yeah I agree it's nonsense. He's made too many comments RE transfer policy, pushing forward, strengthening, needing more from wilf when he signs new contract etc etc.

I think it's partly to do with the fact he believes we are still a long way off being a stable premier league team given the absolute lack of depth. I think he was possibly concerned at the fact that we only ever seemed to turn up in the really big games and the performances against City, Burnley and United clearly showed that there were still deep underlying issues in the team, mainly mentally.
