Good. Anyone know how successful it has been north of the border?

I suspect hat referees will now stop booking players for diving, assuming that the FA will do their job for them.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

As long as they don't have someone like Shearer on the panel. "What do you think, Al, has he dived?"

"yes, that's a disgrace / that's just clever play, he's bought his team the penalty" (delete as applicable based on size of club)

Will just make it trial by media. If there is sufficient clamour on social media and in the papers about it being a dive then there'll be a ban. Otherwise it will be ignored.

really annoys me when pundits say it's part of the game, like 'he's entitled to go down', those people who just subscribe to win at all costs and not the spirit of the game

Just like retrospective action for unseen elbows. If it is highlighted on MOTD then there will likely be a ban, otherwise it didn't happen.

Sadly that's probably exactly where the majority of retrospective action will be formed from. FA just wanna keep interfering with the game in my opinion, let it be ffs.

My thoughts exactly and of course they're always biased towards the big clubs.

We have to hope that referees will take pride in their work and give bookings - with associated sending off - before the FA demonstrate their support.

It is to be hoped that the FA do not just look at games of the big six (giving a safety pattern for naughty people) and do watch for players being taken out followed by a desperate going to ground, at the fifth cynical taking out of an attacking player.

Not about diving, but 'taking a yellow card' for the team ie. fouling the opposition when they're running into your half into a promising situation but it is not a definite scoring opportunity.

Vincent Company is lauded as a text book professional (Gary Lineker calls him a proper bloke) yet in the last two games for Citibank he has done this. Isn't it just plain cheating?

They should bring the sin bin in for diving and cynical fouls.
