He is without doubt the best available goalkeeper on the market. I'm a little annoyed that Bournemouth keep nicking all of our potential targets including beating us last year to the loan signing of Jack Wheelchair. Bring on a new manager asap so that we can line some players up before they all disappear off to other teams.

Jack was always going to Bournemouth with his mate.
Begovic nearly signed for the Cherries in January.
Remember we signed 4 in January.

Does that mean that Sakho is always coming here to join his mate

The rules for FFP were put in place for a reason and complaining about a team quite wantonly breaking the rules as if they don't apply to them has absolutely nothing to do with class

That is just it...the reasons the ffp rules were put in place clearly do not apply to Bournemouth...if they have an owner who is willing to put money into their club then good luck to them...or are only the bigger clubs in the Championship allowed promotion?
Actually i don't remember them buying their way into the PL like a lot of clubs in fact they still have at least 6-7 first team players who played in league one for them that cost peanuts.
All this fake outrage is pathetic.....there are posters on the Brighton forum that are literally in tears over it ffs!
If there is a lack of class being displayed there certainly isn't a lack of hypocrisy.

Money talks regardless of whether you want to play for a team or have played for them before. He's a £15m goalkeeper compared to what else is out there. Admittedly we don't know what the true plan is for either Hennessey or Mandanda and therefore do not know if the plan is to buy a new keeper. If it is, he would have been top of my list.

More drivel. The best that you could say is that a decent, experienced Premiership player has signed for another Premiership club. After all the "we should be qualifying for Europe" last summer, followed by the "we are going to get relegated" rubbish in the winter & spring, if we are going to go into paddy mode every time a player signs for someone else then it is going to be a very long closed season.

There is nothing to suggest that we have every been in for him. Get over it.

Shareholders loans are irrelevant for the purposes of FFP as it's all based on profits, wages and non TV income etc and it's almost impossible that with their tiny ground they can sustain their spending and still remain within FFP limits.

You may not remember them buying their way into the PL but fortunately the FA are more observant than you are and fined them in excess of £7m for doing exactly that.

Not much point in having a message board if your sole intention is to belittle the comments on it. Who has actually said that we were in for him anyway, he is a, 'nice to have' and would definitely have been an upgrade on Hennessey and Mandanda. There is no-one here crying over the fact that we haven't signed him, just that he was the best goalkeeper likely to be available in this window.

According to Parish's radio interview today he said that if Sam had remained as manager we would probably have only been looking at one or two new players and I'm guessing that a new keeper wouldn't have been one of them

Yes we all know what the rules of ffp are...but we were talking about why they were put in place.....the only reason Bournemouth transgressed these rules is because their profits couldn't cover their wage bill...not exactly a problem for them tbh in fact the only people who have a problem with it are the sad act supporters and owners of other clubs that spend far more than them.
Btw i imagine that like the FA you're much more observant than me and can produce a list of expensive purchases that they used to cheat their way into the PL.
Good luck with that.
