UKipper facing bankruptcy I don't know what the verbatim comments were in this case but it is not uncommon for politicians to express opinions as facts. A rather unpleasant subject to "lie" about but should she be made bankrupt and if so shouldn't this be repeated across all parties when people make unfounded comments?

It's quite something when politicians can successfully sue for slander when called out for being the torpid, self-serving arseholes most of them are. A dangerous precedent. Edited by Cucking Funt (09 May 2017 5.00pm)

I'd imagine those comments were echoed across the Internet as being fact. Which isn't good.

Its really difficult to actually lose a slander case as the respondent. F**k her, speech isn't free of consequences and politicians who cannot back up their public statements should be held accountable. Quote
Ms Collins claimed Rotherham MPs Sir Kevin Barron, John Healey and Sarah Champion knew about child exploitation in the town but did not intervene. Quote that they acted out of political correctness, political cowardice or political selfishness and were guilty of misconduct so grave that it was or should be criminal, as it aided the perpetrators.
Without evidence, that's basically a text book example of Slander and Libel. It was designed to give benefit to her and or UKIP, at the expense of their reputation. Ouchy.

Accusing them of criminal neglect and essentially aiding and abetting child rape is probably a step to far for politics. Even if its Leon Brittan.

Best book by a million miles if you really want to find out about the skulduggery occurring within our political system is: Parliament Ltd by Martin Williams. A MUST-READ for anybody who has the opportunity to vote. You'll take a different slant upon things once you have read this factual publication. Attachment: Unknown-188.jpeg (6.77Kb)

Well, none of the MPs involved seemed to show much interest in what was happening in Rotherham (feel free to link to anything that suggests otherwise). We know that the police and social services did know and did nothing and something must have filtered back to the relevant MPs at some point. Collins' choice of phrase could have been better, I suppose, but she's clearly rattled a few cages. Bottom line is that these three MPs did indeed do nothing. She should have left it at that. I'll ignore your puerile Brexit reference.
