I had wiped the game from my memory, but yes that's coming back to me now. I'm sure he'll be fine if he has broken his nose.

After Sakho had had his scan, soon after his injury, it was reported that Sam had said that it wasn't as bad as first feared but that he would still miss at least three games. Whether Sam actually said that is of course another matter, but in the absence of any other information I'm clinging to a tiny bit of hope. If anyone knows any reason why I should abandon that bit of hope, please let me know.

I read that Sakho had gone to France to recuperate - so that suggests to me we won't see him again - this season at any rate.

Hi Neill - hope you are well. The last couple of games have demonstrated how much we have missed him. It really is a blow losing you 3 best centre halves in the situation we find ourselves. Not looking forward to Sunday at all. Edited by Bexley Eagle (08 May 2017 5.12pm)

Big Sam said at the pre MC match presser that Sakho had returned to France for treatment. He was at the Burnley match on crutches. the last time I saw Palace this banged up was at the 1990 Cup semi when we barely had enough healthy first teamers to fill out a squad of 13. The first XI went the full 120! When was the last time that happened?

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

This whole thing highlights another issue at the club for me. I'm not trying to deliberately start another "blame pards" thread but why haven't we got anything in the academy that can come in here? I look at Everton playing Swansea last week and although they have nothing left to play for they are playing a few of the young lads to give them a chance. What has happened to our academy that has stopped us producing youth players?
This club of mine constantly tests my loyalty but I as do many other fans never falter or crumble My loyalty to the Palace will never waver My unadulterated passion for a club I’ve grown up supporting wont die, and my desire to keep coming back and take the blows won’t succumb to negativity |

Youth breaking through will be a rarity whilst in the PL, certainly will only happen after a loan spell somewhere.
Dann, given he had a knee ligament injury I guess is still some way off match fitness

What has happened to our academy that has stopped us producing youth players? Young players get minutes if they are blatantly outstanding, if the need is dire, or if a manager can afford to give them those minutes. None of those things have really been the case this season. It happens but isn't necessarily a huge indictment of our academy.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

Have heard various things but it doesn't seem unlikely that we will get at least one of our cbs back this season. Whether that is in time for Hull or not is another matter. I am hoping Cabaye (only a 'knock') at least is back for Hull. Just one of Dann, Tomkins, Sakho to be fit for Hull would be beautiful; I suspect Dann may well be the one (if at all).

Dann was the only one I saw pictured in the training pre man city. He's been out too long to be ready if he's only 50/50 now
