Defoe and Pickford are in the shop window. They'll go down fighting.

Is that what your victims do

No. I just overpower them with logic.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Sunderland at least are still playing football. Lukaku is supposedly in the shop window as well but he looked terrible today.

Everton had nothing to play for and it showed. And if Sunderland give a repeat performance at home to Swansea next Saturday, we would be safe before the Hull match kicks off. So we have two chances next weekend!

Now the pressure is off them it would be ironic if Sunderland the team that thumped us 4-0 at home became our saviour. At the time most thought we were doomed, and no doubt the Mackems would have hoped they were heading for safety.
As it stands I would make Sunderland favourites to beat Swansea, although of course we shouldn't rely on too many favours. And it is up to ourselves to get at least a point against Hull, it will be interesting to see how Sam plays it,do we go for the win or play for the point, which would be high risk because of our injury stricken defence.

How exactly do you play for a point? Because if it's cede possession and defend solidly with the occasional break it's just about the most high risk strategy possible. You can do all of those things brilliantly for 90 minutes and, in the third minute of injury time, concede from a set piece. We don't have to go Pardew-style gung-ho, but let's at least try and win the match and (hopefully) get a goal, so that, if we concede we're, at least, still in the game.

I hope Defoe scores a hatrick next week.

If that happens we can put the flip flops on against Hull.
