The poster was praising uber over the traditional London taxi driver a few months ago and even mentioned how he would jump into illegal taxi touts cars outside annabels in berkley square over a proper taxi, i think the knightsbridge posh side pad might be a figment of his imagination and the country home to, probably more anerley than berkshire, nothing against anerley btw, just saying!

yeah, i did inform him that the time he was using uber in the beginning most of them didnt actually have hire and reward insurance, lots hadnt passed the required medical to drive a phv, and as for the touts in lovely mercedes he liked to get from annabels on a night cos there wernt any taxis they were even less likely to have insurance or probably a driving licence,,this is why i replied originally, as he was so against the not going south of the river taxi driver, made me wonder why he was saying would suit a london taxi driver, which i am,,,and it wouldnt !

Why don't you start your own thread or go back to the one you first spoke about uber in. The OP is actually trying to do a good thing and help a fellow fan out ffs. Oh and if you met him, you would soon realise that he certainly doesn't live in Anerley.

If he was just helping a palace fan out then fair play to him, didnt think he was genuine to be honest but if michaelaw an u both say hes a good guy then i think he probably is, thou got a feeling the job offered is probably driving rich arabs over from saudi or qatar for couple months in summer on reflection ,in between dodging their sons racing flash cars up and down sloane street, countless trips to edgware road hanging around the carlton tower, not my bag but fair play,
