Hope so, and he's obviously a good lad to have in the dressing room and has had a positive effect on the squad, so to have him in and around the place until the end of the season will be good for morale.

It would also be nice, if he plays again on the last day, to be able to give him a good send-off in case he joins another club in the summer (although he should clearly stay with us!).

Spot on! My thoughts exactly

He has done something similar before - coincidentally in the reverse fixture playing for them.

"...prompting the manager Jürgen Klopp to admit he would rather have lost 4-1 than lose the defender for an extended period."

Haha hiw things change.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

Great news that's he's not badly injured. As far as getting him to stay it is good he wants to stay with us rather than return to LFC; but I fear a champions league club will step in for him, the Arse spring to mind!!

Brilliant news, cheered me right up after a really s***ty day.

This. I was deeply saddened at the match and honestly didn't care about the result nearly as much as Sakho getting crocked. He is such a pleasure to watch, gets cheekier each game.

If he is going to recover quickly I feel lifted and I suspect the same can be said for the team. We can live without him playing but not sure it's the same without him being around. Witness his effect when Benteke scored at Liverpool.

Him and Zaha, we should keep hold of them as they are both pivots of the team. To be honest, I can't see see us keeping Sakho - I wouldn't be surprised if even City make a bid along with the many other clubs interested, to me he looks potential a great replacement for Kompany. We should try but I can see our us dropping out the the race for him quite early on.

Agree with both posts here.

I too was struck into glumness seeing that injury.
The game just fell apart for me,
I'm afraid.

This is fantastic news though I fear Mama will be tempted, understandably , by the Champions League.

I can see Wilf looking to pastures new too; he's come on leaps and bounds this season, hasn't he?. [quote=Glɑzier;3159228]
