in todays squeaky clean world of football, 40,000 would probably do us in the hood.

Yes, with 20,000 Yids in the ground. Tonight yes. Roughly 8k + if that kind of size was built because it's gradual during growth of club and fans.

I think 35,000 would be just right for us at this present stage. Have we been sold out all season?

Expanding the capacity will invite tourists and more oppo fans. Hopefully not as much of a s*** show as the Lahdan Stadium, but it will happen. BUT, it's imperative to get higher gate receipts to give us more flexibility under FFP. Also, as SP is filled most weeks, we cannot truly increase the fan base until new fans have the ability to come to a game. As the club grows, our fans will squeeze out the excess tourists and oppo.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

I still maintain that if several thousand of the seats were in a top tier which only went on sale when the rest of the seats were almost gone, we'd be able to avoid the fans becoming too spread out and rattling about the stadium for less "in demand" games. I'm not talking a stadium capacity that we could only half fill game in game out, but I could live with 80%-90% filled for the less sexy matches if the majority of fans were packed together properly. That said, the box office doesn't strike me as being quite switched on enough to manage something like that....
