It would appear that Torquay have ended up with a nightmare of an owner and a mayor that could be prepared to sell Plainmoor: Add in the likelihood of relegation to even lower non-league and their future looks very bleak. There is a petition regarding the sale of the ground (which is leased from the council): Edited by bexleydave (22 Apr 2017 10.31am)
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I was going to post it here, as I always keep an eye on them since the times I was studying English in Torbay in the late 90's and went to a few matches at Plainmoor. Great it was already posted by someone else.

There does need to be a proper look at football club ownership from the authorities, there are too many rogue owners ruining football clubs. I think government should do more by encouraging local councils to invest in their football clubs and return they engage more with the local community and schools with schemes for young players rather than leave them at the mercy of money men only interested in asset stripping them
