Why does a, not unreasonable, concern about mathematical safety have to equal a lack of "backing for the team"? I'm interested. I haven't seen a single comment that suggests anyone is convinced we're for the drop, just a, not unhealthy, dose of realism that we're not safe yet. I don't think losing is a disaster but having a couple of injuries that's different.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Teams also have a habit of coming to Selhurst and changing their fortunes, ending losing runs, poor away form, goal droughts, etc. I have to admit to not understanding the "broken lamppost" reference. Well. I think Burnley should be more worried than us now. Sorry, I thought the broken lamppost reference was an old joke. Statistics are like a broken lamppost they provide something to lean on, but absolutely no illumination. Edited by dp (23 Apr 2017 9.18pm) Edited by dp (23 Apr 2017 10.30pm)

If we were (according to some) 'in deep trouble' this morning, then Burnley are now right in the sh*te.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Because of our improved form it’s become only an academic who goes down. However, I would be really happy if it was wet spam. It would be justice for being gifted a bigger ground. Granted because of its atmosphere as football ground it has more in common with the moon.
