I didn't want him, thought he brought too much baggage. It looked at first like I was right as he seemed detached during matches and not the animated Allardyce we all know. He has done a great job so far, I am concerned about Sakho but Allardyce has proved to be very good at getting players in so even if he goes I feel he will have a decent replacement lined up. Now he is here, I hope he his here for some time, I want the club to grow, build a PL quality infrastructure and flirt with qualifying for Europe in stead of relegation. This will all take time, there is no reason why Allardyce can't be the man to do it.

I felt he was the wrong man, for many of the same reasons as Wet Sham wanted him out, but I have to confess to a warming towards Big Sam, I've even stopped calling him Fat Sam.
Cynic or realist? It's a fine line! |
