Hardly anybody has mentioned how good he was last night. Walcott never got a look in

Indeed, it wasn't until I saw the Sky interview afterwards that I realised Walcott had been playing and was captain (bizarre).

The back 4 were all excellent. Schlupp made a mistake early on and I was a little worried, but he settled well and was superb.

I must admit I was not too sure about him on the earlier performances , but last night he looked great and showed massive potential.

Schlupp had his best game for us last night, full of confidence. But to be fair the whole team played well. Townsend, Sakho, Wilf and Cabaye may have shone but everyone else was really up for the the match. Cannot wait for the Leicester game, I bet Shlupp will be up for that as well! Lets have more of the same and another 3 massive points!

Same here and it's odd having a mute winger who doesn't lead by example as captain. Very strange. As strange as your defensive coach Steve Boukd sat in silence. Ozil the bottle job only supported Sanchez on the left and probably preferred that sure thing. Schlupp defo had a great game but Arsenal rely on Sanchez too much and look to him and support him more.

Did anyone notice how many times on their left side (our right), Sanchez and Monreal tried the cross-over. As far as I could tell Ward picked up them every time, except 1. Which is really impressive. I was worried he would be Sanchez's toy, but it was the other way around. Oops - Schlupp thread. I thought he was good too.

Was tempted to start a thread on Schlupp myself. Remarkable improvement and looked assured for the most part. Good to have competition for this position when PVA returns.

I genuinely forgot Walcott was playing until full time when I was back at home. I'm not convinced by Schlupp and still think PVA is better but fair play to him for a great performance. Seemed to be more intelligent in not getting caught high up the pitch after supporting Andros
