Ok the result against the Saints was not good, although their equaliser should never have stood because we should have had a free kick, and their last two goals came in the last few minutes and flattered them. Prior to that we had won four games in a row. I still believe we are in a really good position to survive. Both Sunderland and Middlesbro have gone. So there is one remaining spot left. Swansea will be shattered after losing so late last night, and along with Hull have played an extra game than us. The next two or three games will decide things i think. If Swansea only pick up say 3 points from their next 3 games against West Ham and Watford away, and Stoke at Home, they would only be level on points with us (that is assuming we did not pick up any points in the next 3 games!!!) with a vastly inferior goal difference to us. The Swans then go away to Old Trafford after those 3 games, and in theory may only have 31 points with just 3 games left. I know it is all ifs and buts, Swansea could even win those next 3 games!! or lose them!!! but realistically working out an average points total scenerio, i think that is where we will be after those games. I really believe we can draw against Arsenal and beat Leicester in our next 2 games (I'm hoping like many on here that Leicester will be both tired and distracted by their Champions League games) and also Leicester are now virtually safe, so could rest a couple of players. So i'm hoping that in 3 games time we might have 35 or 36 points which will hopefully demoralise Swansea. I don't really see Hull going down now, but the Hammers could still have a real battle to survive

OP loves to start a thread spouting a load of nonsence. No need for that response... If you look at our form in the past 6 the maths would indicate we will pick up enough points to stay up. All be it we have an incredibly tough run in and can't assume because we've won 4/5 we will continue winning games but I think the OP is trying to stop everyone freaking out after 1 loss in 5.

Agree with all that is being said. I should just add, like others have mentioned on different threads, we must try to focus on our own fixtures. If the teams around us lose points, then of course that is an added bonus. We are heavily relying on a group of about a dozen players at the moment. It's only natural they are going to have an 'off game' every now and then. Really can't fought their efforts to try and keep us up. Just got continue to create an amazing atmosphere at Selhurst. COYP

Thanks everyone. Lets keep positive. That's all i wanted to do by starting this thread. I really hope and i have a good feeling that come Monday, before we the Gooners, that the table will look better. If Swansea lose or draw, they would be effectively because of goal difference, be 4 or 3 points behind us having played 2 games more than us. Then a draw against Arsenal at home would not be too bad for us

And assuming man city don't f**k up we will be a point ahead of hull with 2 games in hand. I know the games in hand are tough ones, but at least its unlikely we'll go onto the arsenal game in the bottom three, which is huge physiologically.
