and mandanda is also decent enough.

plus...he will have much better offers than us anyway, he will go to a top 6 club and play 2nd fiddle for a few years earning a fortune.

You also said that Big Sam wouldn't get us out of trouble - repeatedly.

WH is a decent keeper, if he is showing form now that is because the current coaching setup is repairing the damage done to him.

There is better out there, but likewise worse as well.

He'd be our No 1. I think we'd get him because he's still young and wouldn't want to be benched at the bigger clubs. Wayne is class? He's improved but we all still look away when a free kick is taken don't we? Sam played that Liverpool goal down a fair bit...but...really, Hennessey was WAY out of position and should of saved it - it wasn't even going into the top corner.

Really ?
Thought it was a terrific free kick right in the corner over the wall and I doubt that any keeper would have saved it.
Sometimes you just have to praise the kicker and NOT find fault in the keeper.

Well on the weekends evidence Hennessey is as good as Lloris , he was beaten by a free kick and did not move for the goal in the top corner. I can't see how Mandanda is only French No. 2.

Would love to see us sign Pickford.

Think Sam should offer them £15m and promise him the Nr 1 spot. Might be enough if he knows we'd let him move on if a top six club came calling in the future.

Might be a better bet for him than say Everton as they'd be more reluctant on letting a top six side sign him. Basically sell it to him as a stepping stone.

Imagine if we signed Pickford and Sakho!

Pickford
Tomkins, Dann, Sakho, Schlupp
Milio

Bench: Hennessy, Ward, Kelly, PVA

Seriously would be over the moon if that's all the buisness we done.

If we're on the lookout for a new keeper in the summer? Sunderland obviously going down, Sam will know him well and he's a good young English keeper who couild our goalkeeper for years. Might be setting his heights a little higher than us, but worth testing the water? Could offer WH as part of the deal.

I watched an interview with the lad and he is very very Sunderland, as such I think he might give them at least one more season to see if they can bounce back. Either way, prising him away from his hometown club could be tricky and expensive.

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!
