Can a statto out there help me with penalties Palace players have conceded (whether resulting pen was scored or not) for 2015/16 and so far this season? Thanks in advance!

In 2015-16 there were four conceded against Stoke, Watford, Liverpool and Southampton. So far, in 2016-17, only one v Watford:
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Technically we did not concede at Hull as no Palace player actually even touched Snodgrass. The referee was totally conned.

Just looked back at the 2004/5 AJ season and we had 12 penalties! The next highest was Chelsea with 5!

I seem to remember it being started by Flatnose Bruce, no doubt bitter that we had got AJ for free when he moved to Birmingham. He made some comment about how easily he seemed to get penalties and AJ could have been hung, drawn, and quartered by a defender after that and the ref wouldn't have given it.

Yep, like Zaha, no need to look at individual incidents, he’s won a lot of penalties - must be a diver. The Sun had the ‘Andy PENdy headline and hey presto, no more penalties. Even more annoying watching big clubs; ‘there is contact’, ‘he’s been clever there’, ‘drawn the foul’ etc.

Complete dive, but was lauded for being clever by initiating the contact and then going down. That's not clever, that's cheating. At least the commentary teams have been calling out the clear fouls on Wilf in real time. It doesn't seem that he has the negative narrative about him that AJ had, but the refs certainly have it in for him - perhaps a hangover from his angrier days as a youngster. Meanwhile, proven, serial and unabashed divers Ashley Young and Arjen Robben still get calls in their favour. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the shirt that they wear...
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |
