I'd say he's a better left back than Schlupp. Assuming he gets back t fitness and we stay up it'll be him and PVA fighting for LB next season and Schlupp covering or fighting for a spot out wide.

Really?

Schlupp pulling his hamstring vs Everton and needing 2 over that side may be why we signed both. Something Pardew ignored or just protected his relationship with the decision maker with by not highlighting the possibility. He did so at Newcastle.

How many times have both been available? Once?

Why was Townsend palying LB today? Schlupp's positioning left a lot to be desired.

Because we were away against Chelsea and it was all hands to the pumps.

Think we did OK though.

We did brilliantly today. I was impressed with how Townsend put in a real shift, even when Hazard and Pedro were running rings round us, he kept going.

Don't get this criticism of Schlupp, he did alright. He brings versatility to the left side. Him, Townsend and PVA are a good left side, if Souare does get back then he will be a shoe in for the squad too.

Be happy when PVA is back. Schlupp gave away the ball before Chelsea scored, did it again (in dangerous position when we're on attack) in 2nd half. Think the manager will have a word or five with him about that..
