Here's my calculation, numbering each team 1 to 20 points as per their current league standing, totalling those numbers to the current bottom 4 teams to indicate difficulty (the higher the total score the less difficulty):
Sunderland fixtures:
18 Mar 15:00 29 Burnley (H) 12
01 Apr 15:00 30 Watford ( A) 13
04 Apr 19:45 31 Leicester ( A) 15
09 Apr 13:30 32 Man Utd (H) 6
15 Apr 15:00 33 West Ham (H) 11
22 Apr 15:00 34 Arsenal ( A) 5
29 Apr 15:00 35 Bournemouth (H) 14
06 May 15:00 36 Hull ( A) 19
13 May 15:00 37 Swansea (H) 16
21 May 15:00 38 Chelsea ( A) 1
Middlesbrough ( A) 18
TOTAL: 130
Hull fixtures:
11 Mar 15:00 28 Swansea (H) 16
18 Mar 15:00 29 Everton ( A) 7
01 Apr 15:00 30 West Ham (H) 11
05 Apr 19:45 31 Middlesbrough (H) 18
08 Apr 15:00 32 Man City ( A) 3
15 Apr 15:00 33 Stoke ( A) 9
22 Apr 15:00 34 Watford (H) 13
29 Apr 15:00 35 Southampton ( A) 10
06 May 15:00 36 Sunderland (H) 20
13 May 15:00 37 Crystal Palace ( A) 17
21 May 15:00 38 Spurs (H) 2
TOTAL: 126
Middlesbrough fixtures:
19 Mar 12:00 29 Man Utd (H) 6
02 Apr 13:30 30 Swansea ( A) 16
05 Apr 19:45 31 Hull ( A) 19
08 Apr 15:00 32 Burnley (H) 12
17 Apr 20:00 33 Arsenal (H) 5
22 Apr 15:00 34 Bournemouth ( A) 14
29 Apr 15:00 35 Man City (H) 3
06 May 15:00 36 Chelsea ( A) 1
13 May 15:00 37 Southampton (H) 10
21 May 15:00 38 Liverpool ( A) 4
Sunderland (H) 20
TOTAL: 110
Palace fixtures:
18 Mar 15:00 29 Watford (H) 13
01 Apr 15:00 30 Chelsea ( A) 1
05 Apr 19:45 31 Southampton ( A) 10
10 Apr 20:00 32 Arsenal (H) 5
15 Apr 15:00 33 Leicester (H) 15
23 Apr 16:30 34 Liverpool ( A) 4
29 Apr 17:30 35 Burnley (H) 12
06 May 15:00 36 Man City ( A) 3
13 May 15:00 37 Hull (H) 19
21 May 15:00 38 Man Utd ( A) 6
Spurs (H) 2
TOTAL: 88

Based on this we have the more difficult run home by some measure. I haven't factored in our current points and standing which should have values to change these totals, neither have I factored in values for H and A matches.

But based on this we should go down, but as this is Palace, and as this task is difficult, it is a safe bet that they'll defy all the numbers and stay up!

I'll admit I was after what I saw on Saturday.

None of us should be doubting our team. We need to back them 100% when times are tough that's when true support shines through and matters the most. We need to keep fighting alongside the team until the day comes (which it won't) that we are mathematically down.

No. The team I wrote off was a different starting XI. That team was definitely going down. There are three maybe four better players here now. We still might go down with our run in but at least now there is genuine hope rather than blinkered/blind optimism.

Put it this way - if we hadn't had got Sakho on loan then we would still have major problems. One player. What a difference, eh?

We still had the window to go when you said in that post to me "we are relegated, sorry to say but I am always right on past relegations" or words to that affect.

And no not one player, Sakho, Milo, PVA, Allardyce, Lee, Parish, Zaha, Cabaye (who you also writ off I believe) have all contributed to this turn around in performance like I knew we would. Still have to keep this us but like I told you back on that post, WE WILL STAY UP.
