Very good today, along with most of the team. He needed to score that last goal though cos Benteke was in acres of space and screaming for it - if he had missed I suspect we would have seen murder!! Good point - it was quite a similar situation to the one that led to the bust up against Boro last week!

Has worked his socks off for a run of games now. Even earlier in the season he was tracking back well and making tackles, but if he wasn't having a good game he didn't put he effort in. Maybe Sam has got him fired up, maybe it's all him, but he is definitely working very hard and his goal today was massively deserved.

I thought WBA played like we were playing a few weeks ago. Yet we were away from home and in need and the team delivered...........that form will keep us up.

I'm not saying he is slow but he is no speed demon. Put in a decent shift today but was shackled most of the game on the right. Never gave up and came alive when he moved onto the left. Great shift from all the team today and with that kind of performance from our wingers we'll be alright in the run in. Seems Sam has finally got the team fighting for each other again.

All we need is a trademark Townsend freekick. Clearly Allardyce is starting to get the best out of him. Yesterday's goal was one of the goals of the season. coyp.
