Really need to counter against them i reckon.
Wilf on the right and Townsend on the left but they have to really get at West Brom.
Luca, MacArthur and Cabaye in the middle.
Same back four as Saturday plus WH in goal.
Keep it tight, frustrate them and break to score - hopefully!

So we're dropping both the old and new captain? One of them needs to play, can't keep having changes every week. Maybe McArthur is needed to be a bit more combative in midfield but Cabaye and Puncheon together offer more creativity. Having McArthur to come on late in the game was a good option for us against Middlesbrough.

Why? Are they such a good squad that Palace needs to crowd the defence with 3 central defenders and 2 holding midfielders for them not to pass?

You play 3-5-2 in away games against very good teams

Puncheon gates dropped because he is not worth his place at present - Captain for a game or not.
Dann is better than Tomkins but he didn't play last week and we kept a clean sheet hence leaving him out as well.
My guess is that he will play Dann and drop Tomkins

From what I've seen of them both, Dann is the better player.

I believe we've not yet seen the best of Tomkins and I'm not convinced Dann trusts his own hamstring. I'd stick with Tomkins.

I think that, now we have a proper DM, playing 3 CBs is overkill despite West Brom's aerial and physical threat. So I'd stick with Tomkins. I think Ward has improved defensively under Allardyce and holds his place.

Martyn over the other 3..he has proved many times he's the second best keeper in the league.

right back...ward has slightly improved yes but John humphrey never puts a foot wrong. I'd go for humphrey

Shaw scores a few own goals so I'll probably stick with pva

thorn and young seem to not be scared of anyone and would even out man delaney.

Thomas is better at going forward than cabaye but doesn't look as silky. Thomas would scare the oppo more I think.

gray was a great pen taker but lukas passing has been impressive. not sure out of these two at

mcgoldrick or Zaha. ..hmm..think Zaha gets the nod. but Eddie can also play sweeper so more handy.

pardew/barber schlupp/townsend. I'd probably choose schlupp. a left sided player who swings them in with his left.

Wright bright or benteke punch

tekkers and punch can do one.

that's my team for sat. we'll thrash them if we play that team ...

I don't think it's overkill I think it enables the wing backs to get forward without us being exposed and will give us greater threat going forward. Whilst giving us the best chance possible of getting back to back clean sheets which would be a huge confidence boost.

West Brom are obviously well drilled but we also know they can leak a goal. We should get at them whilst not leaving our selves exposed.

PVA, Ward and Zaha should give them untold grief on the wings and Puncheon and Cabaye need to support Benteke. I'd also be happy to see Townsend and McArthur switch in for Punch and Cayabe respectively.

I think we should be looking for goals but keeping three CB on the pitch along with Milivojevic I really think we will be solid.

IMO that's now a fantastic back five we have.

In this one we better "Take a Pulis over Pulis".Got to be solid at the back, deniing them any room to play their football, and hurt them at the counter attack.
And dont give them any freekicks in dangerous arias, cause hHennesey do not how to place him self in the goal.
Just denie them to be dangerous offenciv and we be allright.1 point is nice 3 points are NICER, and 0 points a crap!
