It a lot more exciting than losing 4-0 at home to Sunderland yes. Quite enjoyed 3-0 home win over Southampton too. If Pardew was still in charge we would be where we are now is an opinion. FACT is that we were never in the relegation zone under his tenure. Getting to Wembley meaning nothing is also an opinion, I doubt many share it.

It's also an opinion that AP would never have signed Milivojevic, but that doesn't mean it's bollocks. In my opinion, we would have had more cronies from his old clubs and has-beens wanting a fat paycheque for very little. The bottom line was that nobody with any sense who was any good would have come to us with him in charge, and that is why he would have gotten us relegated.

Actually it may not be. It may be that he'd f***ed up the squad so badly that only in a closed-season bootcamp with a major clearout could it be fixed.

Either way some sort of chance is better than no chance at all.

I'll take exception there.
I didn't want Holloway in the first place and after his initial 3 games it all started going wrong.
However, you've always gotta love him for that play off semi....
And then the final.
He's an honourable man too. He admitted he wasn't up to the job and walked away. Not many would do that.

I haven't got a bad word to say about that man.

That's the thing, in the play offs we didn't play like a Holloway side, it felt almost like the team banded together, jedi led the line and they played their way. I never liked Holloway, I respect him. Just felt he didn't suit us. He's a mixture of pardew and Warnock, old school yet wants to play expansive attacking football.

I do not understand some people's obsession with Pardew.

We have been in relegation form for nearly 15 months now and we lost the Cup Final so ended up with burger all!

If we go down I shall blame Pardew.

Believe the press has leaked memo from Steve parish that states 'need new manager ASAP' which they reckon stands for After Sam Ask Pardew

So, nothing to do with the bunch of well paid, expensively bought players masquerading as Premier League quality? They are about to ruin Allardyce's record of keeping teams up. At least we seemed able to score goals as well as letting them in - now it is just the latter.

Yes of course .... they're playing as individuals but not together. The overall impression is that they don't know what they are doing. The manager has responsibility to mould them into an effective team capable of winning games. Fine to score goals but you have to score more than you let in!
