2 points separates us from 16th. We all feel resigned because of the awful year we've had.

But, it's 2 points for god sake and I was led to believe that in football it is 3 for a win.

We need to let the new crop of players realise that they could be heroes. A fanatic display with their faces on it with the words 'you could be heroes' might have an effect.

As fans we've got to get behind the players. It's clear that in the past the fans and players were on board together. Now we have a responsibility to get them back on board.

We're far from adrift. Come on people!

Not sure how that would go down with the rest if the team. Would rather see something along the lines of ...fans and players unite...we won't go down without a fight...

Well said, all this we are doomed is for the feckless players and supporters. We are Palace we have been in far worse positions than this many times before.

The only recent comparison (and it's tenuous) was the Pulis season. We went 5 games getting 2 points and only scoring 1 goal against average opposition (apart from Man Utd) and I remember it was all doom and gloom.

The next game was Chelsea. We beat them completely unexpectedly and then won the next 4 after that.

Of course we already had more points, a much much better manager and hadn't had the team's collective belief shattered by the previous manager, but it still shows that even in the worst form it can be brought back.

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue
Yours sincerely
Mile Jedinak

I agree with your sentiment but I'm worried that certain players don't buy into the club's character.
The Pullis team had great character using the bulk of the team who got us promotion - players he brought in like Dann and McArthur fitted in perfectly. Allardyce's 4 new signings in January had high prices due to the usual January window situation but they all seem level headed and ready to work thus fitting our ethos hopefully.
Regretfully I think that the problem we have is with Pardew's selections. Benteke, Cabaye,Townsend, Tomkins and Hennessey. Big money signings who aren't prepared to fight for the cause. Pardew didn't want any of the old guard and got rid of several players but the replacements just don't have the same passion. Furthermore it seems to me that the old guard are now extremely frustrated at the lack of commitment from these new big money players.
Unsurprisingly we can now see the frustration in the old guard and this has led to a drop in their own performances.
Sam needs to acknowledge this problem and make changes so that we go back to our old successful style. We must only have players who are prepared to give everything.

I agree with you the Pardew signings are the ones not gelling with the team. Except I think Big Ben is desperate to change situation. He's not getting any help. I am hoping Sam can make changes in two week break and make a new team dropping some of the old players and bringing in new boys. It's obvious now the team will pick itself. Last year at Sunderland it was the players Sam bought that lifted the club. He keeps saying weve just got to get everyone fit. I think Remy didn't start as he isn't fit. Or Shluup. A team with a new spine well drilled can easily win next game.
